Flint Creek Wildlife Rehabilitation has a variety of volunteer opportunities available.  Our most significant needs currently are for people willing to transport animals between our Northerly Island facility and our Barrington facility as well as throughout the suburbs, and for people to rescue injured animals throughout the greater Chicagoland area. We are also in grave need of people in the Barrington area that are able to run errands for us - normally on fairly short notice. Volunteering in these capacities allows our trained personnel to focus on providing the best possible care to the animals.

In addition to our needs listed above, we have volunteer opportunities in the following capacities (note the locations are also indicated):

  • Sewing projects (remotely)

  • Construction projects (working both remotely and at all facilities)

  • Cage washing (Barrington)

  • Education (remotely and off-site educational programs)

  • Fundraising and Grant writing (remotely)

  • Publicity (remotely)

  • Events (remotely)

  • Administrative support (remotely and Barrington)

  • Graphics and printing (remotely)

  • Accounting services, CPA required (remotely)

  • Architectural services (remotely)

We also have some opportunities to volunteer in animal care; however, these volunteer positions tend to be reserved for more experience volunteers. Don't hesitate to contact us, however, even if your area of interest is animal care.

If you are interested in volunteering, you may complete our volunteer application PDF  on-line.  You will need Adobe Reader 8 to be able to fill out and submit the form on-line. Completed applications should be submitted on-line, emailed to volunteer@flintcreekwildlife.org, returned to us via mail or faxed to (847)381-8813.

Thank you for your interest in helping Flint Creek Wildlife Rehabilitation.
